Video: Oliver Bearman is a Ferrari driver at the Festival of Speed

Oliver Bearman has become something of a sensation in 2024. In the aftermath of his momentous Formula 1 debut at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix his name became a hit topic throughout the F1 paddock. A member of the Ferrari Academy, he will achieve his dream of becoming an F1 driver when he lines up on the grid for the Haas team in 2025.

Representing Ferrari in his capacity as an Academy driver during the Festival of Speed, Bearman was once again given the opportunity to climb into the cockpit of a Ferrari SF71H.

He kicked things off with a pretty impressive burnout and plenty of sideways action as he headed round to the House, where he treated us to yet another burnout before acknowledging the crowd on his way up to Molecomb.

We have no doubt he looks pretty good in red, we wonder how long it’ll be before he’s promoted up to the top spot? Perhaps when a certain Sir Lewis Hamilton decides it’s time to call it day? That might be a while away yet, so for now we hope he gets his F1 career off to a flyer with Haas.
