Over many years the Goodwood Revival has become known across the world as the place to be for classic motorsport, something that was obvious once again in 2019, with 16 races delivering the goods throughout the weekend.
In almost every race there was some kind of epic flirtation between cars – take Mike Jordan’s little Austin A40 vs Grant Williams' Jaguar Mk1 in the St Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul, for example. Or the triple AC Cobra attack in the RAC TT Celebration.
These two made it into our top five, as did the Ferrari 246S Dino, Lotus 15 and Lister Knobbly battle in the Sussex Trophy, in which the three jostled continuously to get ahead. Completing our favourites was an incredible overtake by Silvain Barrier, aboard a 1965 MV Agusta 500. As he came into Woodcote, the Frenchman overtook two opponents in one deft swoop, moving up to second in the standings. We're already excited for Goodwood's motorsport season to start in 2020...
